SPRING LEAGUE

Registration for BVL Spring League will open here on January 1st, 2025. Spring League is open to boys of all experience levels in grades 1-8.

Beginning and less experienced players of all ages are specifically encouraged to register, and will be placed on teams appropriate to their grade and experience levels.

Team assignments (coaches, practice days and times, etc) will be emailed to parents no later than Friday February 28th.

Spring practices will begin the week of March 10th, after the start of Daylight Savings.

Most teams will practice two weeknights per week, from 600pm to 730pm, at Manhattan Middle School. Some teams (1st-3rd grade) may practice from 530pm to 700pm at Horizons K8 School.

Head coaches will determine the practice location and days for their teams. We cannot promise to assign a player to specific practice days.

Teams may choose to hold optional practices over BVSD Spring Break, March 24th-28th.

Our league, the AYL (Arapahoe Youth League) has instituted a number of valuable changes in terms of scheduling this season, which should improve player and parent experience compared to the challenging spring of 2024. Teams will be scheduled for 10 games, with an 8 game guarantee. Games cancelled due to weather issues will not be rescheduled.

Games will be held on all Saturdays and some Sundays in late March, April and May, beginning March 29th. Teams will play home games at East Boulder Community Park. Away game locations will include Arvada, Broomfield, Denver, Evergreen, Fort Collins, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Parker, and Windsor, and other locations around the state.

Game schedule will be released by AYL (Arapahoe Youth Lacrosse) by Friday March 7th and emailed to parents at that time.

Playoff games will be held the weekend of May 10th-11th. AYL division championships will be held the weekend of May 17th-18th, and will conclude the spring season.

Cost is $455, and includes new Boulder Lacrosse uniform (game jersey and shorts).

Registration fee covers our field rental expenses, lacrosse supplies, league fees, officials charges, coaching and educational expenditures, coach background checks, and administrative costs.

All players must have current US Lacrosse membership, valid through May 19, 2025. Renewal or new membership cost is $35. Membership is a requirement of our insurance provider.

Registration includes a new uniform (reversible game jersey and shorts) for all players. We are excited to partner with Tamalax to provide players with an upgraded uniform kit featuring high performance fabrics and exceptional quality. Uniforms will be distributed directly to players at a practice in March, before our first games.

Parents will have the option to purchase a Boulder Lacrosse Headwrapz featuring our new logo as part of registration ($45). Headwrapz are vinyl stickers used to customize a lacrosse helmet. These Headwrapz are adaptable to all current helmet models. Headwrapz will be distributed directly to players at a practice in March, before our first games.

Parents will have the option to purchase a Boulder Lacrosse shooter shirt featuring our new logo as part of the registration ($40). Shooter shirts are worn under pads during games to coordinate with our new uniforms, and can also be worn around town to demonstrate your BVL pride! Shooter shirts will be made by Tamalax with the same high performance fabrics used in our uniforms. Shooter shirts will be distributed directly to players at a practice in March, before our first games.
